SHEPHERD — On Saturday morning the Shepherd Pirates hosted the Cleveland Indians and the Huntington Red Devils in a round robin scrimmage.
The event was just a structured practice, as there were no wins or losses and only a 12-minute quarter was played between each team.
However. Shepherd rolled over Cleveland in the first set by 20-plus points, and the second set was a lot closer with the Red Devils gaining the advantage by a few buckets. The Red Devils and the Indians scrimmaged, with Huntington toppling the Indians.
Head Coach Jeremy Bennett said, “The guys are getting better each day they scrimmage. We will be getting the rest of the team on the court after football season is over.”
