Lorine Jefferson is announcing her candidacy for the Board of Trustees of the Livingston Independent School District in the upcoming Nov. 3 general election.
Jefferson said she has deep Livingston roots, has experienced leadership, and is committed to the local students and schools.
Service, safety and responsible leadership are the pillars on which Jefferson is waging her campaign.
Jefferson said her career has been centered on serving others and that if elected, she will listen to parents, educators, students and community members before making decisions that affect LISD.
As for student safety, she said her healthcare administration experience brings a strong background in emergency preparedness, physical security, risk management, and accountability.
She said she is experienced in managing complex budgets, regulatory requirements, and large teams, with a commitment to careful policy review and responsible use of district resources.
“I am focused on LISD. My priority is LISD. I’ll judge every policy by one standard: how it affects our students, teachers, and community,” Jefferson said.
