WOODVILLE – Lady Jackets Malia Handley, Kimber Renfro, Lillie Byrd, Caede Pounds, Harley Jones, and Freshman Carlee Gay sharpened their skills at the three-day TC Thunder volleyball camp held at the Woodville High School Summit on June 10-12. The camp consisted of several drills for strength, coordination, hitting, passing, setting, defensive and offensive strategy.
On the last day the group formed a team to go against other teams there at the camp in three scrimmage style games. Several surrounding schools were represented with about 50 athletes in total. The Lady Jackets who attended expressed that they are thankful for the opportunity to attend a camp so close to home, and they could go together to get familiar with each other on the court in preparation for the upcoming season.
