Maye Bailey McGann passed away on Aug. 19th, 2026, at age 87. She was born on Sept. 2nd, 1938, in Friday. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Michael McGann; her children, Brenda and Donnie Carter, Thomas Kenneth Cobb, Daniel and Douglas McGann; her grandchildren, Jennifer Carter, Laura Carter, Joshua McGann, Riley McGann, and Hunter McGann; her sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Ray Gumm; her sister-in-law, Brenda Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Maye was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Kate Cobb; her parents, Joe and Opal Bailey; and her brothers, Jim Bailey, Hayne Bailey, and Weldon Bailey.
Maye truly had an impact on everyone who met her and will be tremendously missed as a testament to the deep love she inspired in and gave to others.
A memorial service honoring Maye was held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, in Bella Vista, Ark.
Her ashes will be interred in Zion Hill Cemetery in Friday, Texas, on Nov. 14, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are welcome. 178
