TRINITY — Despite the threat of wet weather and a soggy field, the 9th annual Trinity Community Fair Association Annual Scholarship Crawfish Boil still managed to be successful in raising funds for scholarships.
Tally Jo Stout, an association board member, said the raised about $14,000 for the youth of the community.
“Thanks to the incredible support of our community, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees, this year’s event was one of the largest and very successful in supporting scholarships and investing in the bright future of Trinity’s next generation,” she said.
This year’s event sported 45 VIP table sponsors and 30 regular table sponsors, all of whom played a major role in helping make the evening a success. Additionally, more than 3,500 pounds of crawfish were served to the approximately 800 attendees, showcasing the strength, generosity, and spirit of the Trinity community.
An addition to this year’s event was the first-ever Scholarship Crawfish Boil Raffle. The raffle proved to be an unbelievable success and brought an incredible level of energy and fun to conclude the night. The community response exceeded expectations, and organizers fully expect the raffle to become a new staple of the annual event for years to come.
The event was made possible through the outstanding partnership and generosity of the title supporters, Stevenson Beer Distributing and Big E-Z Crawfish, who helped create an unforgettable evening for the community. Special appreciation is also extended to the City of Trinity, Trinity Police Department and the Trinity Volunteer Fire Department for their continued leadership and support of community-driven initiatives that invest in the future of local students.
“The Trinity Community Fair Association extends its sincere gratitude to every sponsor, volunteer, donor, and attendee who helped make the 9th Annual Scholarship Crawfish Boil a true success,” Stout said. “Because of your support, scholarships for local students will continue to open doors, create opportunities, and strengthen the future of our community.”
From the food and fellowship to the raffles and scholarship support, the evening created a positive and family-friendly atmosphere that reflected what makes Trinity special people coming together to ensure the future of Trinity remains strong for generations to come, she said.
