Lucas Elmore

Lucas Elmore was born on April 20, 1982, to Jennifer and William Elmore in Houston. He passed away Oct. 17, 2025, at the young age of 43 in New Braunfels. 

As a young man Lucas enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and playing many sports. Lucas graduated from Trinity High School in May 2000 and joined the United States Air Force on Oct. 5, 2000. He retired as a Master Sergeant on Oct. 31, 2022, after 22 years of service. During that time, he flew 382 combat missions, logged 5,600 hours in 3 different aircraft and was awarded many honors, including 18 Air Medals. Throughout his life, he enjoyed staying active — wake surfing, playing pickleball, and doing yoga. His biggest passion, however, was traveling the world, where he visited six continents and over 50 countries. His most recent joy was being called “Pops” by his first grandson, Tru. 

Lucas is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leta and John Elmore and Carol and Charles Rau.

Lucas is survived by his wife, Victoria; daughter, McKinley “MakAttack” Elmore; stepchildren, Liam and Kaitlyn; grandson, Tru; mother, Jennifer Elmore; father, William Elmore; brother, Corey; sister-in-law, Lindsay; nephew, Cayden and niece, Hadley. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A procession will follow the Celebration of Life to his final resting place at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio at 2:15 p.m.
