Graveside services for Luther Freeman Langley, 68, of Pollok, Texas, were held Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation was held on the day of service from noon to 1 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
Luther was born December 31, 1946, in Livingston, Texas and passed away August 1, 2026 in Lufkin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Langley and Stella Sylestine.
He is survived by his sisters, Janie Rhinesmith, Diana Reed, and Evalyn Beard and husband Wesley, all of Livingston, Texas, and Jerilyn Harris and husband Clinton of Spurger, Texas; along with numerous other loved ones and friends.
Pallbearers were Duane Alec, Mason Drappeaux, Clint Harris, Michael Alec, Benjamin Reed, and Randy Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were Thorvald Drappeaux and Calletano Padilla.
