Beverly Coward Carter, 72, of Woodville, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Woodville Health & Rehab Center in Woodville, Texas.
Visitation will begin 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Antioch Cemetery all in Woodville. Officiating will be Brother Larry Trest. Serving as pallbearers will be Reagan Carter, Bret Coward, Adam Coward, Keith Collins, Wayne Coward, and Jerry Ferguson.
Beverly was born December 9, 1953 to Marvin Glenn and Norma Jean Abney Coward in Woodville, Texas. A 1973 graduate of Kirby High School, she was a lifelong resident of Tyler County. Beverly loved her family and enjoyed bowling and watching the Houston Texans football games. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Woodville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Glenn Coward and Norma Jean Coward Miller; daughter, Laura Ann Carter; brother, Glenn Hamilton Coward; and stepfather, Billy Mack “Bill” Miller.
She is survived by her son, Reagan Carter of The Woodlands; grandson, Ryan Grayson Carter of Conroe; and stepbrother, Jim Miller and wife Cindy of Cypress; and numerous other family members.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
