The Livingston Community Concert Association will hold its final performance for the 2025-2026 concert season at 7:30 p.m. March 19 at the Polk County Commerce Center on US 59 North Loop with “The Next Generation Leahy,” often referred to as a Canadian Celtic powerhouse.

“As with all forces of nature, the music and energy created by The Next Generation Leahy simply cannot be contained; the drive to create music is powerful within each of the Leahy children. Belying their young ages, these siblings are all accomplished multi-instrumentalists whose live performances are filled with high-energy, mesmerizing music that goes hand-in-hand with the famous Leahy name. Featuring fiddle, cello, French accordion, vocals, piano, guitar, bass and, of course, the iconic Leahy-style French-Canadian step-dancing, this group lights up every stage they perform on, and inspires future generations of performers to pursue their dreams!”

The Next Generation Leahy is a family band of six siblings, each a multi-instrumentalist with a rare ability to seamlessly weave together their skills. Adele plays fiddle, piano and vocals. Gregory plays drums, accordion, fiddle and piano. Angus plays guitar, fiddle and piano. Cecilia plays piano, fiddle and vocals. Joseph plays bass, accordion, fiddle, piano and drums. Evelyn plays bass, fiddle and piano. All are featured dancers.

“Inspired by the rich tapestry of Celtic, Irish, jazz, French-Canadian, pop, country, swing music and many other styles, The Next Generation Leahy infuses these influences into a fresh and vibrant sound that is distinctly their own. Their performances are intense, polished and overflowing with emotion, captivating audiences with fiery instrumentals, intricate harmonies, and electrifying step dancing.”

They have traveled extensively across North America and the Livingston Community Concert Association is delighted to have them on the spring roster. “With professionalism beyond their years and an unstoppable drive, The Next Generation Leahy has become a beacon of innovation in Canadian Celtic music, embodying the future of the genre. Bold, passionate and undeniably rare, The Next Generation Leahy is not just a band; they are a light for the next generation of music lovers, carrying Celtic tradition forward with unmatched energy and artistry.”
