A celebration of life for Charles R. Franklin Jr. was held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 3 p.m. at The Woodlands First Baptist Church, South Campus at 11801 Grogans Mill Road. There will be a graveside service to bury his ashes on May 24, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Bluff Creek Cemetery.
Charles went home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 5, 2026 at his home in The Woodlands, Texas with his loving wife of 59 years by his side.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. Franklin Sr. and Nell Pittman Franklin of Livingston, Texas; his son, David Franklin; and sister, Cecelia Franklin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Jean Johnson Franklin of The Woodlands, Texas; his son, Keith Franklin of Orlando Florida; his daughter, Amber Reach (Tim) of College Station, Texas; his sister, Ann Franklin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his granddaughters, Allison Baker of Colorado Springs, Colorado and AnnaNell Franklin of Onalaska, Texas; two great-grandchildren; and many beloved family members, church members and neighbors who adored him greatly.
