Daisy Demple Owens, 85, of Colmesneil, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at Woodville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Woodville, Texas.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at The Gathering Place in Colmesneil, Texas.
Daisy was born January 19, 1941 to Elias and Eva Ross in Buna, TX. She was a longtime resident of Colmesneil and a 1960 Graduate of Colmesneil High School. Daisy was a member of Grace Baptist Church and she loved reading historical novels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Owens; her parents, Elias and Eva Ross; granddaughter, Kristina Wade; and sisters, Marie Ross and Margie Dykes.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Wade and husband, Jeff of Porter, Dena Follmar and husband, Ramon of Colmesneil, and Ann Henderson and husband, Jimmy of Huntington; sister Barbara Hadden of Huntington; grandchildren, Shawn Wade and wife, Brook, Garrett Follmar and wife, Remy, Alexis Bryan and husband, Zach; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Cremation services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
