Donna Nash, 78, departed peacefully from this life on Sunday, August 9, 2026, preceded in death by her parents, Fred N. Stewart and Wilma Dean Stewart, and brother, Richard Dean Stewart. She was born January 27, 1948.
She is survived by her children, Charles Kelly Nash, Leslie Ann Nash Shoemaker and Jennifer Lynn Nash Ferns; grandchildren Laiken (Cirilo), Brandon (Stephanie), Blake, Ryan and Evan; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Amelia, Samuel, Parker and Sophie; sister, Denise (Donavan); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She enjoyed family gatherings with games of Liverpool Rummy and bridge at the club with her friends. She loved nature and growing gardens and planting flower beds. She would often stop by to help her dad in his garden in Livingston. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and they enjoyed her culinary skills! Early hobbies included embroidery and sewing. She was a very skilled seamstress. Donna had a keen eye for decor, and created a warm and welcoming home environment. In her high school days, she had envisioned a college degree in home economics, but mastered that on her own incredible ability.
Donna is forever alive in the hearts of all who loved her, for her contagious smile and bright eyes, and authentic laughter. She delighted in family time, and was a devoted mother, Mimi (as known by her grandchildren) and a loyal friend. Donna had a servant’s heart, always tending to the needs of others. Her favorite scripture verse was “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.” She knew her source of strength and comfort came from her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rest sweet Donna for your work on earth is done and you served well. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
