Dr. Timothy Lee Durr, Jr. A husband. A father. A son.

October 5, 1981 – September 12, 2025

Timothy was born in Woodville, Texas, to Denese and Timothy Durr, Sr. He was a dentist by trade and a maker by nature — a musician, martial artist, carpenter, electrician, and whatever else the moment required him to be. Tim could turn his hands to anything, and he did it with care.

Tim lived with depression for many years and worked hard to carry that weight quietly. He was ultimately overwhelmed by his depression and alcohol use on the morning of September 12, 2025. He is now more at peace than he ever would have been alive. He is survived by his wife, Abigail “Abby” Durr, whom he worshiped, and their five children: Bradley Durr, Marci McNulty and her husband Devin, Maddox Durr, Miles Durr, and Isabelle “Babers” Durr; his granddaughter Violet McNulty; his parents, Denese and Timothy Sr. of Woodville, sisters Stacey Pittman of Vidor and Kristi Grimes of Porter.

Tim graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in 2013 and built a career not only with skill, but with compassion. He was treasured by his staff and patients as “Doc Durr.” He often provided pro-bono dental work for people in need, often citing his creed, “Money doesn’t rule me, my heart does”. Earlier in life, he taught high school chemistry. Though he only taught for a single year, his students never forgot him, still reaching out to him nearly 20 years. 251
