Edna Odessa Glass, affectionately known as Odessa, 56, of Moscow, Texas, was born November 29, 1968, in Shelby, Texas to parents, Bobbi Jean and JB Evans, and passed away April 4, 2025, in Moscow, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; aunt who raised her, Hazel Rash; father-in-law, Bobbi Glass; sisters, Bobbi Ann Luman, Eloise Kincel, Donice Smith, Judy Faye, and Anna Grace; brothers, James Evans and Jimmy Glen Evans; niece, Tonya; and nephew, Josh.
Odessa is survived by her husband, William “Peanut” Glass; daughter, Casey Jean and fiancé James; granddaughters, Dessalyn Jean and Tabby Long; sisters, Linda Sue and Kenneth Berry, Elaine and Chuck Hallock, and Sonny and Keith Carrolton; sister-in-law, Karen Bowman; mother-in-law, Jerrie Glass; bonus son, Scottie Glass and wife Stacy; and best friend, Peggy Kosina and husband Joey.
Odessa leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends that will truly miss her.
Odessa wasn’t just known as Odessa – she was Nana, NeNe, Nanny, Mama, Honey, and so much more to everyone that met her. She never met a stranger and always lit up a room with her witty jokes. Odessa always made life about her granddaughter, Dessalyn Jean. She was her pride and joy – you mess with her baby, you better run!
Funeral services were held at noon on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Lesli Wilkerson and Bro. George Murphy officiating. Interment followed at the Holshausen-Darby Cemetery in Moscow, Texas. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon on the day of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Joey Kosina, Kory Lewis, Hunter Walker, Vernon Wolf, Scottie Glass and Trey Berry. Honorary pallbearers were Isaac DeJesus, Colton Munson, Scottie “Bug” Glass Jr., Rowdy Glass, Luke Sheldon, Kenneth Berry, James Franks and Kade Guerro.
