Evie Jo Collins, 86, of Woodville, formerly of Colmesneil, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Woodville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Woodville, Texas.
A private family graveside service will be held at Gregory Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas.
Evie Jo was born September 5, 1938 to Willie Eugene and Beatrice Brown Daniels in Rockland, Texas. Jo was a true caregiver of many, who loved her family with a gentle grace. A genuine social butterfly, she always saw the best in people. Her sweet smile and loving hugs will truly be missed. A very special thank you to the loving hands and hearts of The Orchard, Olive Branch Hospice, and Woodville Health and Rehab. You all truly made great impact in her quality of life every step of her journey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Beatrice Daniels and brothers, Arthur “Popeye” Daniels and Richard Elmer Daniels.
She is survived by her daughters, Lavon Fowler and husband, Max of Centerville, and Debbie King and husband, Guy of Woodville; son, Butch Cross of Sylacauga, AL; 7 Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
