SHEPHERD — Financial matters occupied the Shepherd ISD Board of Managers at the Thursday meeting.
Financial Officer Sonya Fulgham reported during a report on September finances that revenue received by the district is on track based on budgeted amounts, but the district should see more in the last two months of the year as property tax payments pick up.
She also reported that $1.2 million being held at the state level will be released to the district. The funds were held while the district appealed a decision regarding property values and their effect on state funding.
In a related matter, the board approved changes to the district compensation plan, removing retention payments as the grant funds for that have expired.
In other business, the board:
•approved membership in Walsh Gallegos program; and
•approved addition of a non-dual credit course to course offerings.
