TRINITY — Fires and vehicle incidents kept the Trinity Volunteer Fire Department busy over the week.
On Wednesday, the department responded to Highway 94 in Glendale for a trailer fire.
Fire Chief Keith Johnson said a gooseneck trailer had a hot brake and started to burn. Engine 1 responded with three firefighters and found the fire was out.
Water was applied to the wheels to cool off and returned it to service, Johnson said.
Also on Wednesday, Trinity Fire Department responded to Point Adventure Subdivision to assist 356 Fire Department with a man stranded on a roof.
Johnson said the ladder and rescue trucks responded with 10 firefighters and removed the subject from roof; Ventura EMS transported to MidCoast Medical Trinity emergency room.
The department responded to a one car roll over on FM 356 near Trinity Pines Conference Center around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The driver was not injured. Ventura EMS responded along with DPS troopers to investigate the accident.
On Friday afternoon, Trinity Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Highway 94 just past Mansell Road with an engine, two tankers with 16 firefighters arrived on scene to a fully involved workshop with a tractor and truck inside.
Johnson said firefighters contained the blaze shortly after arrival and took an hour to extinguish the fire completely.
He said there were no injuries reported, and the shop was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown, Johnson said.
