The Polk County Sheriff’s Office night shift patrol deputies traveled to the last known residence of a wanted fugitive Wednesday with multiple outstanding warrants.

The residence in the Wiggins Village 1 subdivision is where Mikell Allen Green was identified around 11:30 p.m. Green attempted to flee, hiding inside the home. Deputies swiftly apprehended the suspect without further incident.

Green had a total of eight warrants, including a state jail felony for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

During the warrant service, deputies also encountered Adam Eugene Wooten, who was found to have four outstanding Class C warrants.

While securing the residence, deputies observed drug paraphernalia consistent with methamphetamine use. A search warrant was applied for and granted by Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Jamie Richardson, leading to the seizure of narcotics and related items. Both Green and Wooten were charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 (methamphetamine), in addition to their outstanding warrants.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to report suspicious activity, as they continue working to keep neighborhoods safe.
