COLDSPRING — The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office with Sheriff Sam Houston, Chief Deputy Stan Jolly, members of the Sheriff’s Office, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, community partners, and volunteers for the second annual “Bag of Blessings” Thanksgiving Turkey and Fixings Giveaway.
The event will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office, 75 W. Cedar Ave., in Coldspring.
The Bag of Blessings is about much more than providing a turkey and Thanksgiving meal. It is about neighbors helping neighbors and a community coming together to remind families experiencing difficult times that they have not been forgotten.
Through the generosity of sponsors, donors, local businesses, and members of the community, families in need throughout San Jacinto County will receive a Thanksgiving turkey and a bag filled with the fixings for their holiday meal.
