Friday night’s football game between the Livingston Lions and the Lumberton Raiders will be the last football game played at the original Lion Stadium at 819 W. Church St.
Both current and former students are planning to gather on the track following the game to sing the school song and say goodbye. Alumni are encouraged to wear their letter jacket or other Livingston Lions gear.
Construction continues on the new stadium which will be located on the Livingston High School campus at 400 FM 350 South. It is expected to be completed by the 2026 football season.
Though this will be the last football game played there, the original stadium will continue to be used for soccer until the new stadium is complete.
