A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Herschel Herring Jr., 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont, Texas. He was born December 23, 1939, to the late Rev. Herchel and Fay Herring Sr. in Dies, Texas. He graduated from Scott High School (Woodville, Texas).
He lived in Beaumont, Texas and worked for Texaco (Port Arthur) for 39 years. He was a faithful member and deacon of the Northside and the Beaumont Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Herring (Hillister); daughters Arthemise Foley (Houston) and Mona Herring-Holman and husband Anthony Holman Sr. (Beaumont); son Neshan Herring (Beaumont); grand-daughter Lesslie Foley (Corpus Christi); and his loving sisters and brother.
