Religious Services at the IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility is grateful to announce a new partnership with Reformation Heritage Books (RHB), a Protestant Christian publishing ministry led by pastor, professor, and seminary chancellor Dr. Joel Beeke.
RHB has recently agreed to become a regular donor of Christian books to the MTC-IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility. The donated books are being used to support the spiritual growth and personal development of residents participating in the facility’s religious programming.
Since January, a group of U.S. Marshals residents have faithfully attended Chaplain Smith’s English Bible study each Thursday. Over the past several months, Chaplain Smith has witnessed encouraging changes among the participants, including increased engagement, positive attitudes, and a growing interest in scripture and Christian learning.
One of the donated books that has been especially well received is ‘A Perfect Redeemer,’ which teaches readers about the life and work of Jesus Christ. Participants have expressed appreciation for the opportunity to study and discuss biblical truths through these resources.
Reformation Heritage Books is known for publishing biblically grounded Christian literature. While many pastors, theologians, and authors contribute to the books RHB publishes, each work is carefully reviewed and edited by Dr. Beeke before publication to ensure high quality and spiritual value for readers.
Recently, representatives from RHB requested photographs demonstrating how the donated books are being used. In response, IAH Religious Services provided photos showing residents participating in Bible study and reading the donated materials. These images reflect the positive impact the books have had in encouraging spiritual growth and meaningful discussion among participants.
According to Steven Grafsky of Reformation Heritage Books, the ministry regularly prays for both the residents and staff at IAH. Facility Religious Services personnel are thankful for this support and look forward to a continued partnership with an organization committed to serving others through Christian literature.
The IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility appreciates Reformation Heritage Books for its generosity and commitment to providing resources that encourage faith, learning, and positive personal growth among those in its care.
