St. Joseph’s Livingston Council #9564 and Assembly #2816 have been working to assist GRACE Pregnancy Outreach Inc., having recently completed an ultrasound room.
“Our goal is to raise $25,000 for an ultrasound machine, and help with other construction issues in the center. The center was damaged a few years ago and flooded during storms. This past year, the Knights of Columbus donated over $2,000 and completed repairs and also deposited into the savings for the ultrasound machine,” SK David J. Lambrix said.
GRACE Pregnancy Outreach Inc. is a local, community-based 501(c)3 organization. Its mission is to support, encourage and educate women and their families throughout their childbearing years. All of its services are free.
Various services provided include: pregnancy tests; education classes regarding childbirth, breastfeeding, parenting, etc.; material assistance with diapers, car seats, clothes, etc.; peer counseling for support and encouragement; and community referrals such as medical, housing, food, etc.
The program provides services for families with children up to three years old. In 2024, services were provided to clients from 11 different counties in Southeast Texas.
