Planning is underway for the Trinity River Authority’s first trash cleanup at Lake Livingston.
Despite cold, rainy conditions, Outreach and Communications associates Caleb Naylor and Jewel Koenig, Watershed Sciences and Grant Manager Heather Firn and Lake Livingston Project Manager Chad Holton recently toured multiple areas around the lake to identify potential cleanup sites. Trash and debris were observed at several locations during the site visits.
The cleanup, scheduled for late March, will expand outreach efforts and strengthen community involvement in the TRA’s Southern Region while promoting lake stewardship and improving shoreline conditions.
More information on how to participate will be announced in the coming weeks.
