Lela Bernice Coplen (May 26, 1970 – July 9, 2026) was a lifelong resident of Tyler County. She resided in Colmesneil.
Beloved baby daughter of Sherwood Eugene Coplen and Youna Louise Keiffer Coplen.
Lela gave us a wonderful nephew Samuel Eugene Coplen (Kayla) and a beautiful niece, Kryz Hernandez.
Lela was a fabulous Mamma to Carmen, Chery, Samantha, Hayleigh and Elaina.
Lela shared life with five siblings: Sherilyn Coplen, Sarah Coplen Fowler (Doug), Debbie Barnes (Charles Ray), Larry Coplen (Cindy), Cindy Brittain (Robert).
Her children and grandchildren were her greatest blessings.
Nothing in life meant more than her family. She always loved hard and took care of those around her.
She will be missed, save cold Dr Pepper for us in heaven.
In honor of Lela, please wear purple.
Service is scheduled for August 15, 2026 2 p.m. at Campground Cemetery (please bring chairs).
