Livingston Hometown Christmas is Saturday

The City of Livingston will host its annual Hometown Christmas from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday There will be arts, crafts, food and gift vendors in addition to a kids area that will feature mechanical reindeer, a trackless train, face painting and a photo booth.

For those participating in the Jingle Bell Fun Run & Walk, the one-mile race will start at 11:15 a.m. at Livingston City Hall and the two-mile and 5K will start at noon, also at city hall.

A Christmas dance hosted by DJ Don May is slated for 1-5 p.m. in the city hall parking lot and the annual lighted Christmas parade will start at 6 p.m.

In conjunction with Hometown Christmas, the Polk County Heritage Society is hosting its annual Christmas train village at Good Golly Miss Molly’s at 406 N. Washington in Livingston. Admission is free but donations are accepted. Hours vary: 5-7 p.m. today through Saturday; noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 14; 5-7 p.m. Dec. 18-20; noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 21; 5-7 p.m. Dec. 26-27; and noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 28.

Main Street Merchandise at 312 N. Washington in Livingston will host its annual Let it Snow Event from 6-7 p.m. every Saturday through Christmas.

Experience the wonder of Christmas and take a drive through Pedigo Park to enjoy the lighted holiday figures and thousands of Christmas lights on display from now through Dec. 31. Pedigo Park is located at 925 US-59 Loop North in Livingston.
