Michael Powell was born in Woodville, Texas on February 15, 1975 to parents William Powell and Mildred Powell. Michael passed away on December 7, 2025 at home in Woodville. Michael is survived by his wife, Shawna Wood and their three children, sons Bladen Powell, Braxton Powell, and daughter, Bailey Powell. Michael’s favorite hobbies were fishing and camping. He was a logger and worked in the logging woods most of his life, and he loved going to church every Sunday morning. He was there bright and early every Sunday just to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet before everyone showed up. Memorial services for Michael Powell were held December 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 972 CR 3750, Colmesneil. 126
