The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host an in-person open house from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Polk County Commerce Center to discuss US 59 North (future I-69) from 1.25 miles south of US 190 to 1.9 miles south of SL 116 and the public is invited.
Proposed improvements include reconstructing US 59 main lanes, ramps and frontage roads to meet interstate standards and reconfiguring the US 59/US 190 and US 59/BU 59 interchanges.
The Polk County Commerce Center is located at 1017 US 59 Loop North in Livingston.
For those who may be interested but are unable to attend, TxDOT is also providing a virtual public meeting that will be posted online by 5 p.m. on Tuesday. To participate, go to www.txdot.gov and key search by “Livingston Upgrade North.”
