The Onalaska Public Library has been awarded a $2,500 Texas Book Festival Library Grant to help expand its collection with new books for readers of all ages.
“We’re excited to share wonderful news with our community! This generous grant supports our mission of fostering a love of reading throughout our community. Over the coming months, you’ll begin seeing brand-new nonfiction books arriving on our shelves, including titles for children and teens,” Library Director Sherry Brecheen said.
“We’ll be featuring these new materials in special displays throughout the library and highlighting them on our website (www.cityofonalaska.us/public-library), newsletter, and social media pages. Watch for announcements about school outreach activities, community partnerships, and special programs celebrating the new collection,” Brecheen said.
“As new books arrive, we invite you to stop by often – you never know what exciting title you might discover,” she said.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Texas Book Festival for supporting public libraries across Texas and helping communities like ours provide outstanding library collections for everyone. Together, we’re building a stronger community – one book at a time,” Brecheen said.
