Crappie are congregating on structure and as water temperatures climb to the upper 80s fish will remain in this pattern. Crappie are schooling on timber in 10-30 feet of water. Minnows are preferred over jigs. The quality of fish is phenomenal. Report by River Bottom Boys Guide Service.
Caddo
SLOW. Water stained; 84 degrees; 2.21 feet above pool. The lake is once again on the rise, the clarity is muddy and salvinia is floating. Expect a difficult bite for a few week. Look for shad or listen for them popping around pads. When you find shad try a fluke, swimbait, ribbit, toad, buzzbait or frog for top water action. The river and bayou will be way muddy for a while, and there is a strong current rolling in right now so concentrate efforts on the main lake. Some bass can be caught on trees with big worms, senkos and top water baits. Despite the high water it is always an awesome time to come visit this majestic and divine lake we call Caddo. Report provided by Vince Richards, Caddo Lake Fishing & Fellowship.

Caroling rigs and power shaky heads and Texas rigs are good offshore around points and road beds or humps 18-25 feet. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Guide Service.Lily fields are filling in, hydrilla and milfoil are reaching for the surface. Fish this type of cover at midday when bass are seeking cover. Frog patterns are working in the shallow vegetation early and late. Drop a clouser on an isolated cover for black bass. Large bream have moved shallow, wooly buggers are producing good fish. Channel catfish are cruising 2-4 feet, clousers are a good choice. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Lake Fork crappie fishing is getting better and better as we get deeper into the summer pattern. Loads of small fish under 10 inches are still being caught daily, but a lot more large fish are stacking up on brush piles, tire reefs, artificial structures and the base of trees. You can still find some fish on bridges, underwater bridges and road beds in 16-26 feet. Minnows, small hand ties and soft plastics are all working. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.

GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 0.50 feet above pool. Bass are stacking up in suspended mode, at about 8 feet, over taller water. The thermocline is in full effect, so make sure you don’t fish under that line. In addition, some larger bites in 8-10 feet near the bottom. The square-bill crankbaits got the majority of the bites. Cranking it in and around the timber that is immediately adjacent to the boat lanes near the backs of the creeks was the ticket. Remember to run an Alabama rig and topwater early and late in the day for some aggressive feeding fish! Crappie population is good. Catfish are slow. Report by Eric Wolfe, NacoTack Fishing Services. Largemouth bass are fair on straight tailed worms and Carolina rigged craw baits. Crappie are excellent on standing timber and small brush piles with 1/32-1/16 ounce white crappie jigs. Toledo Bend
GOOD. Water stained; 86 degrees; 0.61 feet below pool. Bass fishing is still good. The shallow bite has been productive with topwater lures. A few anglers have also been flipping jigs and beavers into the flooded bushes and hay grass. Most of these shallow fish are coming from 1-4 feet of water. The deeper bite has also been good, out to about 27 feet. Texas rigs and Carolina rigs have been most effective, with a few fish also coming on big crankbaits and football jigs. Crappie fish has been a little off lately due to the big storms over the past week. The rising water and strong winds have made it tough, as crappie do not typically like those conditions. However, things should start to improve in the next couple of days. Brush piles and main lake docks have been the most consistent spots, with both jigs and live bait working. Please watch out for deer as it is the middle of fawn season, and they are actively crossing roads. If you see a deer, please slow down because it is a dangerous time of year for those small fawns. Bream are good on red worms throughout the lake. Report by The Boulders at Lake Tyler. Water is a normal stain, but expect the clarity to be stained after the forecasted rain. Crappie have been in two main patterns with most fish 20 feet deep, but there is a good number of fish in 8-12 feet of water on brush piles. Minnows are outperforming jigs. Bass are great at dawn and dusk on topwater, but this bite shuts off very quickly. Transition to Texas rigs, crankbaits or jerkbaits in 4-15 feet. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
