Well, we can’t complain about the rain anymore. So, if anything goes wrong this week, then we can truly blame it on the rain. Did you vote Tuesday?
First Methodist Church of Trinity had a beautiful pumpkin patch this year and I am anxious for the Nativity Scene to replace the patch soon.
FMC is having Dinner with Friends on Nov. 19 from 4-6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per plate. The menu is homemade soups. The public is invited to attend the dinner at the church located at 131 N. Elm St., Trinity, in the fellowship hall.
• It is time to sign up for your Christmas basket at the Trinity Community Center from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Nov. 19-21 for Trinity Residents only. You must show proof of residency. For more information, please call Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church’s office at (936) 594-3822.
• The Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Christmas Show applications have been mailed. If you have never participated in this event and would like to, then call or text Julia McMichael at (936) 537-8171 and leave your name and address.
The parade entry form is available online or you can get one from All Around Electrical Services, located at 405 Prospect Drive in Trinity. Please call Megan Budzise at (936) 594-0621 for more information.
Trinity County Crime Stoppers members will judge the parade and present the cartoon character, The Grinch, in the Lighted Christmas parade which starts downtown at 6 p.m.
Food Vendors set up for the show on Dec. 5-6, arts and craft vendors set up inside and outside booths on Dec. 6-7.
Santa Claus will appear on Dec. 7 from 2-4 p.m. in the Annex Room at the Trinity Community Center. S’mores and stockings will be available from 4-5:30 p.m.
The parade starts at 6 p.m. and we ask that the TPCC River Pointe Polar Express be the only live and dressed Santa and Mrs. Claus for the parade.
The last week of November the list of performers and events will be announced along with drawings, and door prizes.
I hope to have most of the Trinity Churches’ and local organizational holiday activities, and concerts posted by Nov. 28.

• Second notice for special event: Blanche K. Werner Public Library in Trinty is sponsoring a Community Canvas Fair on Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for all ages.
