TRINITY — Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a one-vehicle crash on State Highway 19, north of Trinity, that occurred Friday.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 12:32 p.m., a 2006 Yamaha XVS1100 motorcycle was traveling north. It is reported that the driver of the Yamaha failed to drive in a single lane, left the roadway to the right, and laid the motorcycle over in the ditch.
The driver of the Yamaha, 60-year-old Jonny Tunstall of Houston, was injured.
Trinity Fire Chief Keith Johnson said Ventura EMS transported the victim to the helipad at Mid Coast Health Center, and from there, a PHI helicopter transported him to Conroe Regional Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries
