COLDSPRING — Jennifer Manuel retains her seat on the Coldspring City Council after winning her race in the May 3 election.
She defeated challenger Calandra Johnson 39-13.
All results are unofficial until canvassed.
•New faces will be on the Cleveland ISD Board of Trustees, which covers a portion of San Jacinto County.
For the currently vacant Position 4, Pauline M. Johnson defeated Kairos Sanchez Medina. In San Jacinto County, Johnson had 2 votes to Medina’s 1; in Liberty County, Johnson garnered 248 votes to Medina’s 78.
For Position 5, Jessica Allen won over incumbent Amanda Sandoval Brooks. While Brooks won in San Jacinto County 2 to 1, in Liberty County she lost 187 to 151.
•The Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD was cancelled as incumbent candidates Berlin Bradford and Tony Sewell drew no opposition.
•Voters approved the creation of San Jacinto County Municipal Utility District 15 and the issuance of millions of dollars in bonds for waterworks infrastructure needs.
Additionally, the ability to levy up to $1 per $100 of property valuation for funding was approved by voters, and Tyler Reeves, Sarah Rowe, Raquel Garcia, Philip Wright and Simon Gonzalez were elected to the district board.
According to Elections Administrator records, all bonds, board members and taxing measures were approved by only 2 votes, which were cast early. No votes for any of the five measures were cast on Saturday.
•The San Jacinto County Emergency Services District proposal of the annexation of all land located within the county which is not currently in the territorial jurisdiction of the ESD was approved 170-112, while those landowners will now become responsible for their portion of any outstanding debts and taxes for the ESD.
•James Patterson and Keith Redmond were elected to the Board of Directors of the Riverside Special Utilities District.
