Sarah Elizabeth Pridgen Mangham, 51, of San Antonio, Texas, was born on January 21, 1974, in Woodville, Texas, and passed away on February 8, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Pridgen; her grandparents, Clarence and Adderie Pridgen and J.C. and Willie Coker.
Sarah is survived by her son, Brent Mangham of Kyle, Texas; her son’s father, James Mangham of Kyle, Texas; her mother, Carol Pridgen of Livingston, Texas; her sister, Jo Ann Pridgen of Livingston, Texas; and her nephew, Joshua Pridgen of Livingston, Texas; as well as numerous other loved ones and friends.
Sarah loved fishing and riding horses. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a business degree in May 2000. She worked as a financial specialist in the Buda, Austin and San Antonio areas. In June of 2011, Sarah was sworn in as the first woman mayor of Buda, Texas.
