TRINITY — On May 18, the Trinity ISD School Board recognized the Trinity High School Tiger Band for its accomplishments during the 2025–2026 school year.

The year began with the marching band’s production, “HeartBreaker,” which earned a Division II-II-I rating at competition. In November 2025, the band continued its success as four students earned placement in Honor Band and five advanced to Area Tryouts. These students included Jordan Delacruz (Flute), Samuel Del Rio (Flute), Alicia Huckabee (Clarinet), Hilario Zaragoza (Trombone), and Mason Dominy (Tuba).

In February, Samuel Del Rio traveled to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall through the WorldStrides Program alongside students from across the nation. Also in February, students participated in Solo and Ensemble Contest, where all three soloists earned First Division ratings, and all three ensembles also received First Division ratings.

Hilario Zaragoza not only earned a First Division rating on his Class I Solo but also advanced to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest, which took place Memorial Day weekend in Austin.

Throughout the winter season, The THS Winter Guard continued their success from last year by competing in three competitions. Guard Officers for this year are Capt. Talie Kaufman, Co-Capt. Angel Walker, and 1st Lt. Jodie Carroll.

In March, the Tiger Band participated in the Blinn Concert Festival, where students received positive feedback from judges and clinicians in preparation for the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest in April. At UIL, the symphonic ensemble earned Sweepstakes honors with straight Division I ratings — the first time Trinity High School has achieved this distinction since 2007.

At the Band Banquet on May 19, new student leaders for the 2026–2027 school year were announced, seniors were recognized for their years of dedication, and every band member was honored for their participation and contributions throughout the year.
