Trinity County Crime Stoppers

Posted

Since my arrival at the Trinity Police Department, I have strengthened the police department’s relationship with the residents of Trinity. I talk to residents almost every day, who reiterate their desire to have a safe and clean city that they can feel safe in and have a sense of pride in living and working in.

My staff and I have worked diligently to improve the service the residents receive from the police department. My goal is to be the best small town police department in East Texas.

Almost every day, someone in our community reaches out to me and expresses concern about drug dealers, drug users, and other criminals in our area. We utilize this information to locate and hold accountable the bad guys in our community.

Since my arrival, I have also strengthened the police department’s relationship with the Trinity County Crime Stoppers, which is part of a national and statewide program designed to help prevent and to solve crime. This program assists law enforcement in gathering intelligence and other information from the public, who would not otherwise provide the information to the police. It allows one to remain anonymous with the information they provide and depending on the type of information they provide, they can get a cash reward for their information.

The day-to-day operations of the program are performed by an all-volunteer staff. The funds used for the cash rewards are provided by local businesses and individuals who donate money to them. You can make tips anonymously through the website and through their free mobile app.

Trinity County Crime Stoppers also assists Trinity County and the City of Trinity with rehoming dogs, who have been picked up as strays and their owner has not been located. Without their due diligence and assistance, many of these dogs would be put down.

We are working hard for you. If you have information, you can contact me at the station (936-594-2505) or through crime stoppers’ Anonymous Tip Line 936-639-TIPS (8477).

Call us if you need us.
