TRINITY — A Texas bank provided the Trinity schools with a small windfall at the Nov. 18 meeting.
Amy Cleaver, a manager with Sunflower Bank, presented three checks to the respective school principals; the High School received $577.78, the Middle School received $627.84 and the Elementary School received $853.30.
Superintendent John Kaufman said the money comes from a program called 2 Cents Per Swipe. Bank customers can link a debit card to one of the schools, and each time the card is used, that particular school earns 2 cents for qualifying purchases throughout the year.
