Ann Brandon Sturrock, 88, passed away with family members at her bedside on June 2, 2025, in Sugar Land, Texas.
Born on September 21, 1936, Ann grew up in Palacios, Texas, and graduated from Palacios High School. She continued her education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and the University of Houston.
She married John (G.W.) Sturrock of Colmesneil in 1963, and the couple had four children: Staci, Brandi, Brett, and Kyle, who died at childbirth.
She is survived by her husband, three children and brothers Thomas Brandon and Kenneth Brandon; sister-in-law Georgene Stubblefield Brandon; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Trude Ann Brandon, who ran Brandon Dry Goods on Main Street in Palacios for decades, and sister Becky Brandon Bolling Osland.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Land, with a reception following.
