Herman T. Wilson Jr., 85, of Houston, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Visitation was at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home followed by an 11 a.m. graveside service at Antioch Cemetery all in Woodville. Officiating was Willie Wilson. Serving as pallbearers were: Paul Bruce, Ed Bishop, Rick Bailey, Ronnie Reese, Jay Reese, and Dale Wilson.
Herman was born April 18, 1941 to Herman Tolbert Wilson Sr. and Johnny Ruth Raimer Wilson in Woodville, Texas. He was a 1963 graduate of Lamar University with a business degree and was an avid supporter of his alumni and the Future Farmers of America. A former resident of Fresno, California and Conroe, Texas, he was a longtime resident of Houston. He owned and operated businesses associated with the farming industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tolbert Wilson Sr. and Johnny Ruth Wilson; and his son, Gary “Todd” Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie Wilson of Houston; son, Dale Wilson and wife Anna of Fresno, CA: brother, William Wilson and wife Sandy of Barbers Hill; sister, Marilyn Reese and husband Ronnie of Warren; grandchildren, Vitoria Wilson, Mikinah Palmer and husband Noah, Robert Horne and wife Madeleine, and Kristina Rivera and husband Brandon; great grandchildren, Liam Pena, Atreus Rivera, Gemma Horne, and Stella Horne.
