Kathi J. Hensarling, 71, of Woodville, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in Woodville, Texas.
Visitation will be held 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
Graveside service was at noon on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Hester Cemetery in Warren, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Wesley Burke. Serving as honorary pallbearers was: P.J. Wade, Justin Sturrock, Jathan Borel, Robert Borel, Chess Adams and Rob Odom.
Kathi was born May 12, 1954 to Ernest and Noncie Yazell Barton in Hallettsville, Texas. A 1972 graduate of Kirby High School and longtime resident of Woodville. She and her husband, Tommy were owner/operators of Hensarling’s Tire & Service Center for many years. Kathi enjoyed attending her children’s sporting events, but her love was for her three granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Tommy Hensarling; mother, Noncie Ashworth and husband, Webb; father, Ernest Barton; and brother, Doyle “Butch” Barton.
She is survived by her daughter, Lea Ann Dean and husband, Jared of Woodville; son, Clay Hensarling and wife, Sarah of Hudson; grandchildren, Keelie Breaux, Peyton Hensarling, and Charlie Dean; and sister-in-law, Pam Stephens of Woodville.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
