Madeline Tucker Davis, 92, of Colmesneil, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 in Colmesneil, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Campground Baptist Church with burial in Campground Cemetery all in Woodville.   Officiating will be Brother Clark Mahoney and Brother Noah Jackson.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Davis, Jason Hensarling, Brian Hensarling, Jason Mahaffey, Patrick Davis, and Richard Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Turner and Johnny Tucker.

Madeline was born February 7, 1934 to Henry G. Sr. and Edith L. Freeman Tucker in Colmesneil, Texas.  A lifelong resident of Tyler County, she had worked for many years in the Colmesneil I.S.D. school cafeteria.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking, mowing, and traveling.  Madeline’s love was for the Lord and her family. She would often share her favorite Bible verse of 1 Peter 5:7 with her family. “Cast all of your cares upon Him for He cares for you.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Sr. and Edith Tucker; husband, Darrell Eugene Davis; sisters, Jan Elliott, Chloie Kinney, Dorothy Turner, and Ouida White; brothers, Alton Tucker, Henry Tucker, and Jerry Tucker.

She is survived by her daughter, Tewanna Hensarling and husband Rocky of Colmesneil; sons, Kenneth Davis of Colmesneil, and Clarence Davis of Silsbee; brother, Johnny Tucker of Woodville; sister, Laquitta Dennis and husband Dusty of Woodville; grandchildren, Jason Hensarling and wife Tiffany of Colmesneil, Jared Davis and wife Amanda of Colmesneil, Nicholas Davis and wife Krystal of Silsbee, Brian Hensarling and wife Heather of Colmesneil, Christopher Davis of Silsbee, Patrick Davis of Spurger, Sirena Mahaffey and husband Jason of Colmesneil; great grandchildren, Haley Cathy and husband Taylor of Bridge City, Ethan Mahaffey and wife Nina of Huntsville, Tracer Hensarling and wife Krissy of Colmesneil, Jayden Gray and husband Ethan of Colmesneil, Kyler Hensarling of Woodville, Kyson Hensarling of Woodville, Logan Mahaffey of Alaska, Alyssa Mabry of Colmesneil, and Julius Mabry of Colmesneil; 2 special grands; 3 special great grands; great-great grandchildren, McKenna, Addisyn, and Aubrey Cathy, and Aiden, Lexi, Easton, and Jordyn Gray.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
