Ronald Curtis Duncan, age 82, of Belton passed into his Heavenly reward Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at his residence with his sister at his side. He was born January 30, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas to parents Malcom Roy Scaife and Mary Eva Yarbrough. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Linda Maria Bennett, his wife, Sandra Kay Duncan, and his daughter, Lorrie Michelle Duncan. He attended and graduated from Sweeney high School in Sweeney, Texas and then went on to serve our country by enlisting in the United States Air Office. He proudly served our nation for four years with great dedication was honored to be a part of the protection of our great nation. He met the love of his life, Sandra Kay Stone at the Texas State Fair and was married in Celina, Texas on February 9, 1963. They ended up living in Houston to start their new life together. They became parents of three daughters whom they loved and were very proud. Ronald remained in Houston working in his own telephone business until the passing of his loving wife. He eventually moved to Woodville to live with his sister and they later moved to Belton to be closer to their children. He is survived by his sister, Veronica Dianne Necessary who loved him dearly, and two daughters, Pam Vanek and Cynthia Rene, and her husband, Jeff Holland. He was blessed with five grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. His passing will bring sorrow to all his family and friends. We can be consoled by knowing his pain has ended and he is in the arms of the Heavenly Host above with his loved ones that have been waiting his arrival. Ronald’s service was at Our Lady of the Pines in Woodville, Texas on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Interment was at the Duncan Private Cemetery, Woodville. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. 318
