Ted Norman Teague, 87, of Colmesneil, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 at HCA Cypress Hospital in Houston. A service and burial will be on March 29, 2025 at Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, Oklahoma. Ted was born June 15, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to Mr. Furman Edgar Teague and Mrs. Virginia Louise Teague (Layton), their only child. Ted graduated from South Oak Cliff High School, Dallas, Texas and then joined the USAF. Ted served a short time then met his wife Peggy O. Williams of Kemp, Oklahoma. They were married August 29, 1958 and stayed together until his death. Ted joined the army in 1960, then retired from the Army in 1979 as a staff sergeant with the military police. He earned the Army Commendation medal plus others during his career. While married to Peggy, they traveled all around the United States and to Germany, twice while in the army. In 1989, Ted graduated from Southeastern State University with a Criminal Justice Degree. He was precede in death by his parents, daughters Dana Lynn Teague, Lisa Maureen Teague, and grandson Bryan Cook. Ted had four children, four grandchildren, and many friends. Ted is survived by his wife, Peggy, his children, Norman Teague and wife Amy of Colmesneil, Tx and Stacey Richter and husband Mark of Tomball, Tx, grandsons, Justin Teague of Portland, Tx, Travis Teague of Sherman, Tx, and Private William Teague, U.S. Army. Ted was a devout Christian man, strong in his faith with the Church of Christ. A loyal husband, devoted father, and trusting to a fault. Ted was always willing to help others when in need and served God until his death. Our family could not have asked for a better husband, father, and grandfather in our lives. He will be missed by all who knew him. 300
