The Lone Star Junior Football Corrigan Bulldogs are Super Bowl champions after a 19-0 win over the Newton Eagles Saturday in Buna’s Cougar Stadium.
The Junior Corrigan Bulldogs have defeated Warren, Woodville, Kirbyville, Huntington, Lufkin, Silsbee, Deweyville and was able to avenge its only loss with the win over Newton. The Bulldogs, ages 8-10, narrowly fell to Newton 13-12 in the regular season.
Also in the Junior League are Buna, Mauriceville and Kountze.
Members of the championship squad include Aiven Hinojosa, Jahmeir Brown, Jackson Wars, Kahlil White, Brantley Barrett, Kayson Brooks, Greyson Golden, Jase Hance, Quentin Petty, Hadley Baker, Kort Arbuckle, Grayson Lopez, Aaron Washington, Reid Arbuckle, Brandon Bryan Jr., Walker Park, Terrence Washington, Braeden Myers, Billy Jones, Luis Caballero IV and Broxson Fuller.
Coaching the team are head coach Francisco Lopez and assistants Luis Caballero, Chad Arbuckle, Richard Fuller and Tyler Myers.
