GROVETON — The Lady Indians downed district rival Shelbyville 3-0 in Homecoming action on Friday.
Groveton won over the Lady Dragons 25-15, 25-19 and 25-23.
Jannett Bautista smacked 8 kills on the night, while Caila Antley added 5. Bautista had the hot hand on serves, putting up 5 aces.
Aubrey Alexander and Kady Lee each had a block at the net, while Darby Parker had 22 digs and Alexander had 19.
Alexander also had 13 assists.
Groveton also mowed down Colmesneil 3-0 on Sept. 24, winning 25-14, 25-10 and 25-15.
Kayleigh Albus had 8 kills in the match, and Antley served up 7 aces.
Albus had a solo block, and Parker had 13 digs to Antley’s 12 and Alexander’s 10.
Alexander added another 11 assists.
The Lady Eagles were downed by Spurger 3-0 on Sept. 24, losing 18-25, 20-25 and 24-26.
The Lady Tigers lost to the Anderson-Shiro Lady Owls 3-0 on Friday — 6-25, 7-25 and 8-25.
