LATEXO — Trinity went 3-1 in the weekend Latexo Tournament, good enough for a second-place finish.
Head Coach Ashley Sustaita said it was a great first tournament.
Throughout the tournament, the team combined for 30 treys and 196 points scored, averaging 49 points per game, while allowing only 145 points. The players also combined for 155 rebounds and 75 steals.
Top producers throughout the tournament were Paetyn Jolly with 33 total points and 12 deflections; Nae O’Bryant shot 30 percent from 3-point range and finished with 17 points; Emma Sustaita had 17 assists with only 10 turnovers, 11 rebounds and 8 steals; Summer Ogden had 6 steals and 3 rebounds coming off injury; Olivia Mills had 23 total points, 20 steals and 22 deflections; Teagan Droddy shot 100 percent at the line and had 7 boards and 6 steals; Asis Cerda had 7 assists and 4 rebounds; Ariah English had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals and deflections; Mariah Tyson had 29 points and 41 rebounds; Bree Davidson had 41 points, 20 rebounds and 10 steals; and Alexa Pruitt had 13 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.
The Lady Eagles lost to Spurger 29-26 on Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs were downed by Latexo 44-13 on Nov. 19.
Top scorers were Peyton Noack with 6 points, Kyleigh Bogs with 3 points, Taylor Barton with 3 points, and Jordyn Jones with 1 point.
