Last week, a theft of cattle was reported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office that occurred off Linda Road in Goodrich. Eleven head of red crossbred cows and two paint horses were stolen from the property. The mare is white and brown, and the gelding is black and white. The cows have no brands or markings. Texas Cattle Ranger Mike Boone is also assisting with the investigation. Those with information in reference to this case that may help with the investigation are asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and speak with a detective at 936-327-6810 or Operation Cow Thief tip line at 817-916-1775.
