Britton Shoelhorn, the City of Onalaska’s permits/code enforcement officer, was terminated from his position following a special called meeting of the Onalaska City Council Wednesday.
Having violated city policy on a few matters, Shoelhorn was previously disciplined and Wednesday’s special called meeting was an opportunity for him to appeal.
Although two council members – Kevin Arnett and Kathy Lott – abstained from voting, the other three council members – Zachary Davies, Shirley Gilmore and Howard Smith – voted unanimously to terminate.
