The 2024-2025 targeted improvement plan and the 2025-2026 academic calendar will both be discussed and considered for approval by the Board of Trustees of the Goodrich Independent School District during its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
An interlocal agreement with Polk County for the May 3 election will be discussed and considered for approval.
The board will discuss and consider approval to compensate the staff for the two bad weather days on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22. Additionally, a board workshop for compensation planning will be discussed and considered for approval.
The HB3 board goals for 2024-2025 update will be discussed and considered for approval, as will Bus Route 6 compensation.
Texas Association of Schools Boards Board Policy Update 124 will be discussed.
The board will enter into an executive session to deliberate personnel and homeland security and to consult with the district’s attorney. Upon return to open session, the board will discuss and consider approval of the appointment of someone to fill Position 7 on the board. The board will also discuss and consider approval of contracts for the athletic director, business manager and campus principals.
Superintendent Daniel Barton will present his monthly report on curriculum and instruction, finance, maintenance/operations/safety and professional development.
Other items on the agenda include approval of the minutes of the Jan. 16 meeting and the monthly financial statements for February 2025.
