What the Christmas tree means to me

Posted

When I see the Christmas tree it reminds me that God put a tree of life in the garden when he created the world and there is a Tree of Life in Heaven.

When I look at the lights it reminds me that Jesus is the light of the world, and on the first day God created light.

The blue lights on the tree reminds me that blue is the color of kings and Jesus is the King of Kings. The wise men came to see the baby born Kind of the Jews.

The color yellow reminds me that Jesus is the son of God and God gave us the sun for warmth and to make the crops grow so we would have food.

The color red reminds me that God gave us his only son that we might have salvation and live with Him when our life here on earth is over.

Some people put angels on their trees. This reminds me of the angels who sang for the shepherds when Jesus was born, and the Bible tells us of many angels who were messengers from God who came to help people and to relay messages from God.

Some people put stars on the top of their tree. This reminds me of the star that appeared when Jesus was born. This star led the wise men from a faraway country for two years until they found the baby Jesus.

When I see the presents under the tree I think of the greatest gift we have ever received, Jesus.
